ISC Afternoon Program
Our Afternoon Program provides an elite educational experience, focused on global competencies, experiential learning, higher order thinking and practical skills.
We embrace the mentality that a teacher is a guide on the side, not a sage on the stage.
The ISC Afternoon Program starts at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m. It combines:
- A Learning Studio (incl. Meal Program)
- The Global Course
The focus of the Afternoon Program lies on self-directed and project-based learning on and off campus.
Students gain deep understanding through learning experiences. They learn and grow in several 21st-century skills.
Guided by essential questions, students create and refine projects that connect their personal passions to real-world pursuits.
Through fieldwork, internships, off-campus site visits and the development of dynamic partnerships, students in the Afternoon Program gain an understanding of how the world works beyond the school walls.
Our ISC educators work with students to connect with external partners to provide high-quality learning experiences.
We believe in encouraging students to pursue their interests in order to motivate them. Thus they gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter and have a greater ability to retain, deepen and apply knowledge.
The ISC Afternoon Program offers students more flexible spaces and provides a comfortable environment to educate, empower and engage students.
Our educators observe, facilitate, coach and support students throughout the duration of their learning experiences.
The Afternoon Program is focused on global competencies, experiential learning, higher order thinking and practical skills.
ISC Learning Studio
1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
After the Meal Programme, students go to the Learning Studio, which uses flexible space to enhance student individual and personal development. It reflects our focus on personalised learning with open spaces.
Students and educators collaborate to design personalised activities to enhance learning goals and experiences for each child. Students learn in a flexible space that promotes both group and independent learning with the support and guidance of our staff.
ISC's World Course
Students will learn how to cope outside the school environment and use their education to build a better world.
The World Course
2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Our World Course provides an “elite educational experience”, focused on global competencies, experiential learning, higher order thinking and practical skills.
The program prepares our students to succeed in our 21st century by utilizing a course designed at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
